VeSoko at Hanga Pitchfest 2025: Rwanda's Leading Platform for Startup Growth
Rwanda's flagship innovation competition, Hanga Pitchfest 2025, has named its Top 25 startups — including VeSoko — advancing to a four-week boot camp ahead of the final investment round, underscoring the country's growing reputation as a hub for tech-driven entrepreneurship.

VeSoko selected for Hanga Pitchfest 2025
VeSoko was named among the Top 25 startups selected for Hanga Pitchfest 2025, Rwanda's national startup competition. The fifth edition of the program was organized by the Ministry of ICT and Innovation in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme.
The selected companies advanced to an intensive four-week boot camp focused on mentorship, technical support, and investor-readiness coaching. From that group, ten finalists would move forward to compete for top recognition and investment.
Building Rwanda's innovation ecosystem
Hanga Pitchfest is designed to help promising companies strengthen their businesses while creating connections with mentors, investors, and other founders. Since its inception, the broader program has supported more than 200 startups, helped establish over 190 innovation hubs, and catalyzed more than Rwf 600 million in investment, according to the event coverage.
Partners and ecosystem leaders describe the program as part of the work required to build a resilient digital economy: identifying ambitious teams, giving them structured support, and helping them become ready for sustainable growth.
Independent recognition for VeSoko
VeSoko's selection provides independent recognition of the marketplace's place within Africa's technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem. It also gives the team an opportunity to sharpen its strategy for connecting authentic African products, retailers, and diaspora customers.
Participation in the boot camp supports the next stage of that mission through focused mentorship, technical feedback, and exposure to people investing in Rwanda's startup community.
