VeSoko Connect: Authentic African Products Across the United States
VeSoko connects U.S. shoppers with authentic African products while helping African-owned retailers reach customers nationwide. An early pilot with Ikaze East African Market demonstrated the marketplace model in practice.

A marketplace built for authentic African products
VeSoko is an e-commerce marketplace dedicated to making authentic African products easier to discover and buy across the United States. The platform brings trusted African-owned retailers into one shopping experience so customers can find products from home without searching across disconnected stores and social pages.
For retailers, VeSoko creates a path to customers beyond their immediate neighborhood. A seller can present products to shoppers nationwide while using marketplace tools designed around discovery, trust, and fulfillment.
From local inventory to nationwide reach
The marketplace model is especially useful for independent stores that already serve their local communities but want to reach diaspora customers in other cities and states. VeSoko helps those businesses make their inventory visible through searchable product listings and a shared customer experience.
An early pilot with Ikaze East African Market showed promising signs for this approach. The pilot helped the team test how an established retailer's products could be presented online and made accessible to a wider customer base.
Strengthening the connection to African producers
VeSoko's longer-term vision includes creating stronger sourcing connections between U.S.-based retailers and producers across Africa. Better sourcing access can expand the products available to shoppers while giving producers and brands additional routes into the U.S. market.
The work begins with a simple promise: help shoppers find authentic products, help retailers grow, and build the infrastructure that keeps African commerce connected across borders.
